PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced the addition of three coaches to their offensive staff, hiring Tom Arth, Zach Azzanni and Mateo Kambui. Arth joins the team as their new quarterbacks coach, while Azzanni signs as their new wide receivers coach. Kambui joins as an offensive assistant

Arth started his NFL coaching career in 2022 with the Chargers as their pass-game specialist. Prior to the NFL, he was the head coach at Akron (2019-2021), Chattanooga (2017-2018) and John Carroll (2013-2016)

In the NFL, Azzanni has worked with the Jets, Chicago Bears (2018) and Denver Broncos (2018-2022). He was also a passing game coordinator in the NCAA with Florida in 2010 and Tennessee from 2015 to 2016. He was also the offensive coordinator at Western Kentucky in 2011 and the assistant head coach at Central Michigan from 2007 to 2009.

Kambui comes from Atlanta, where he worked with Steelers’ new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. With the Falcons, he was their assistant offensive line coach in 2023. Prior to his time with Atlanta, he was with the Denver Broncos as part of the Marlin Briscoe Coaching Fellowship (2021-2022). He helped with scouting and coaching the wide receivers.

The Steelers are still expected to hire new strength and conditioning coaches, and it’s unknown if former quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan will remain with the team. Reports claim they’re working on retaining him.
