Breaking:David Tepper finally gets serious sanctions after misconduct
The controversial Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper is once more under the spotlight, this time for throwing a drink at spectators.
Tepper watched his team lose to the Jaguars and was caught on camera throwing a drink at the crowd with three minutes on the clock.
The incident happened when quarterback Bryce Young was intercepted, handing Carolina their 14th loss of the season.
The Panthers did not deny the incident.
The NFL once fined Titans owner Bud Adams $250,000 for throwing a middle finger to fans.
But Tepper could be charged for a more serious offense.
“The Personal Conduct Policy applicable to non-players specifically encompasses “assault and/or battery.”
The charge also covers “violent or threatening behavior toward another employee or a third party in any workplace setting, disorderly conduct and conduct that undermines or puts at risk the integrity of, or public confidence in, the NFL, NFL clubs, or NFL personnel.”
The Panthers do not even have the luxury of a first overall draft pick after trading to the Bears earlier in the year.
