Texas Longhorns Football Program Announces Plans for State-of-the-Art Facility Renovation

Austin, TX – The University of Texas at Austin has unveiled plans for a major renovation of its football facilities, aimed at enhancing the student-athlete experience and solidifying the program’s position among the nation’s elite.

The project, dubbed “Longhorn Legacy,” will feature a comprehensive overhaul of the team’s locker rooms, training areas, and coaching offices. The renovation will also include the construction of a new, state-of-the-art indoor practice facility, as well as significant upgrades to the stadium’s seating and amenities.

“We’re committed to providing our student-athletes with the best possible resources to succeed, both on and off the field,” said Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian. “This renovation project will not only enhance our program’s competitiveness but also serve as a testament to the university’s dedication to excellence.”

The project is expected to break ground in the spring of 2026, with completion slated for the summer of 2028. The university has committed to funding the project through a combination of private donations and athletic department revenue.
