Oklahoma Sooners Land World-Class TE Commitment After Rejection of Longhorns, Beavers

The Oklahoma Sooners had been waiting for this moment. The announcement that five-star tight end Marcus “Tank” Bradley had committed to Norman sent shockwaves through the college football world. Bradley, a towering 6’6”, 245-pound playmaker from Houston, was the most sought-after tight end in the 2025 class. His decision came after months of speculation that he might head to the Texas Longhorns or the Oregon State Beavers, two programs that had pushed hard for his services.

In a packed gymnasium at his high school, Bradley stood at the podium with hats from Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon State, and a few other schools arranged before him. The tension in the air was palpable.

“I want to thank all the coaches who believed in me and my abilities,” Bradley began, looking over at his family seated in the front row. “This decision wasn’t easy. It’s been a long road, but I’ve finally made my choice. For the next chapter of my life, I will be committing to… the University of Oklahoma!”

With that, Bradley grabbed the crimson and cream hat, flashing a wide grin as the crowd erupted.

Bradley’s commitment was a massive win for Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables and offensive coordinator Seth Littrell. Known for their ability to maximize tight ends in their system, the Sooners had presented Bradley with a vision of being the next great playmaker in Norman, following in the footsteps of NFL stars like Mark Andrews.

“I chose Oklahoma because of the culture, the family atmosphere, and the way they see me fitting into their offense,” Bradley said later in an interview. “I want to win championships, and I feel like Norman is the place where I can do that.”

The decision wasn’t without drama. Texas had long been considered the favorite, with head coach Steve Sarkisian making multiple in-person visits and pitching Bradley on being the centerpiece of their offense. Oregon State, fresh off a strong season under new head coach Dan Campbell, made a late push with promises of instant stardom.

However, Bradley had been quietly leaning toward Oklahoma for weeks. A late visit to Norman sealed the deal. He cited the mentorship of current Sooners tight ends and the genuine relationships he had built with the coaching staff as key factors.

“They’ve got something special building there,” Bradley said. “And I want to be a part of it.”

With Marcus Bradley now in the fold, Oklahoma’s already strong 2025 recruiting class took a leap forward. The Sooners are primed for a bright future, and Bradley’s commitment might just be the piece that pushes them back into nationa

l title contention.
