‘I’ll back him whenever’: Reynolds responds to Tallis as Broncos star called out over Kevvie silence

The Brisbane No. 7 captain, Adam Reynolds, came under fire from club legend Gorden Tallis for not speaking up for coach Kevvie Walters, who is under siege. Reynolds has responded to Tallis’ criticism.

Tallis blamed Reynolds, saying the captain of the Broncos had deserted Walters during the team’s 2024 playoff collapse.

Reynolds, being cautious not to get into a public slanging match with the club’s former captain who had won a premiership, took issue with Tallis’ remarks.

It’s his viewpoint. Reynolds stated on Monday that he was free to hold his own opinions.

I was supporting Kev on the radio this morning. I’ll support Kev at any time.

“I came from down South, and Kevin brought me here. He’s given me a fantastic opportunity to come to a great club and do something special.”

“I adore the location, and I will always be appreciative of him for that.”

“Kev is the ideal candidate for this position; he has led this club admirably. All we have to do is jump on board and do as Kev says.

“It must have rubbed off on the players because I have never seen someone more devoted to the team and more in love with it.

“I don’t believe there’s another man for the job. Kev has had success as a player and coach and we believe in him. He’s definitely the right man for the job.”
