The group Good News For People Who Love Bad News has announced a 20-year anniversary tour to commemorate the band’s groundbreaking 2004 album, Good News For People Who Love Bad News, which was released 20 years ago. The tour will start in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 28 and stop for several nights in Portland and Los Angeles. The journey will come to an end in early November with three nights at Brooklyn Steel in New York City. Tickets are available for purchase at modestmouse.com starting this Friday, August 23, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

After more than ten years of existence, Modest Mouse broke out of the rock underground with the release of Good News For People Who Love Bad News, which was distributed by Epic Records on April 6, 2004. The album featured a distinctive blend of inventive soundscapes and existential lyricism. Thanks to hits like “Float On,” “The World At Large,” which has been certified gold, and “Ocean Breathes Salty,” which is a five-time platinum single in the Modern Rock chart, the album has been certified double platinum for U.S. shipments of two million copies. It is hailed as an alternative classic.
