Sad injury news for the Broncos: Kevin Walters is struggling while Reece Walsh is officially out of the season.

The Brisbane Broncos have suffered a terrible night at the office after losing star fullback Reece Walsh in a drubbing by NRL champions Penrith.

Walsh ran riot against Latrell Mitchell in last week’s win over South Sydney, but was forced off after just five minutes after an ugly head clash with Panthers star Taylan May.

As a result, a huge gash emerged on the left side of his face and it took 20 minutes for medical staff to stitch it up.

He was getting ready to go back out onto the field of play, but he went back through the tunnel after claiming to be having vision problems. It has been confirmed by the Broncos that he will undergo a CT scan on Friday morning.

In the rematch of the grand final, Nathan Cleary caused even more suffering for Brisbane by leading the Panthers to a 34-12 demolition job.
