A Vital Player For Melbourne Football Club Is Back…
Christian Petracca AFL trade bombshell emerges amid brutal situation for Melbourne Demons
According to shocking new reports, Christian Petracca “would likely ask for a trade tomorrow” if he didn’t have a long-term contract with the AFL team and has grown “disillusioned” with the Melbourne Demons. After sustaining a lacerated spleen, broken ribs, and a punctured lung against Collingwood in June, Petracca is still recuperating. He is not going to play this season.
In June, Petracca acknowledged that the injury situation was “frustrating,” but he emphasized that his frustration was not with the club. That followed the midfield gun’s initial play through pain from injuries that “resembled a car crash,” with nobody, not even Petracca, realizing the severity of the issues at the time.
When asked about rumors that his family wasn’t pleased with the Demons for how they handled his injuries, the 28-year-old rejected the notion. But according to Channel 9’s Tom Morris, Petracca is now unhappy with the direction the Demons are taking, and he says he would look to be traded away in a heartbeat if his current contract didn’t have five years remaining on it.
Morris stated that Christian Petracca is “disgruntled and particularly disillusioned with the club’s direction.” “Petracca is a professional who is yearning for another flag, but his dissatisfaction has grown since his season-ending splenic injury. It must be noted that his disillusionment, which is not aimed at the coach (Simon Goodwin), is now extremely evident.
