playoff run in 2024–2025. The team acquired goaltender Jacob Markstrom from the Calgary Flames and inked defenseman Brett Pesce to a big contract to strengthen their defense. The team’s front office has
undergone several modifications as part of the makeover. The Devils announced that they had added a coach and two consultants to support their goaltending staff and general manager.
The Devils’ front office benefits greatly from Chuck Fletcher’s extensive NHL and hockey management experience. From 2009 until 2018, he was the general manager of the Minnesota Wild, leading the team to six
postseason appearances during that time. Following the 2018 season, his contract expired, and the Wild chose not to extend it. He was hired by the Philadelphia Flyers a few months later to serve as general manager and subsequently president. Prior to his termination in 2023, he had worked
for the company for five years. Former NHL player Andy Greene was beloved by the fans while he played for the Devils in New Jersey. After spending 14 seasons with the squad, he announced his retirement from the league after the 2021–2022 campaign. The man Manny Legace is
