On Saturday night at CITYPARK, St. Louis CITY SC defeated FC Dallas 2-1 to win their first-ever Leagues Cup match.

Sam Junqua gave Dallas the lead early in the game in the eighteenth minute. But St. Louis answered fast, as Nökkvi Thórisson provided Thórisson’s first assist of the year to Cedric Teuchert, who scored his first goal for CITY SC.

Marcel Hartel scored his first goal for the team and sealed the win for St. Louis with a successful penalty kick in the second half.

With this victory, St. Louis leads their League Cup group. They will play FC Juárez in their last group game on Sunday night at CITYPARK.
