Less than two months separate Missouri football’s official start of the college football season from this point on. The official addition of Texas and Oklahoma to the Southeastern Conference on Monday, along with a literal onslaught of movement from coast to coast, served as a reminder of the current state of the sport, if there was ever one.

Effective management of the transfer portal becomes even more crucial as the SEC grows in size and, hopefully, in strength. In a short period of time, Missouri football was able to sign fifteen players for the upcoming campaign.
