GOOD NEWS: A vital player for St Helens Saints is back…..

Leigh Leopards v St Helens injury news as 7 out and 2 big returns

Prior to their match on Friday night, the head coaches of Leigh Leopards and St Helens have announced their 21-man squads.

Ben McNamara and Oliver Holmes are still sidelined due to injuries.

Adrian Lam stated last week: “We could be in contention for the St Helens game next week, as I know Oli Holmes is now running on the field with Ben McNamara, so both those players are probably a week away now.”

However, neither have made it into the squad.

Tom Amone suffered a cut to the head in the last game but is named in the 21-man squad here and is expected to be in contention for the game.

Matt Davis, however, doesn’t play in this one – which was mandatory, as he failed an HIA in the last game.

Josh Charnley also makes it into the squad again after a brief injury layoff – he started on the wing last time out after two weeks out injured, scoring a try in the process.
