Breaking: A crucial Sheffield Wednesday player left because of…..
Key player for Sheffield Wednesday could be lost following the international break.
The Sheffield Star reported that the FA is expected to meet shortly to discuss Fernando Forestieri’s role in the July brawl at Mansfield Town, which has Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay worried about the forward’s availability.
According to reports, the 28-year-old was at the center of the massive brawl that ruined their pre-season friendly at Field Mill. It is believed that a racist remark was directed towards Stags Barbados international Kristian Pearce, which started the deplorable scenes.

The talented forward has been on the bench for Wednesday’s last three matches, but that spell could now be enforced as the FA investigate the events of that evening. Forestieri appeared to throw a punch at Mansfield’s Calum Butcher after the final whistle, before running off down the tunnel. That seemingly sparked the mass brawl that followed.
The Owls deny any claims of racism, saying after the event: “The club vehemently refutes any form of racist abuse on our part and will vigorously defend itself should the need arise.”
Mansfield midfielder Jacob Mellis is also in hot water after he appeared to hit Wednesday’s Tom Lees during the fracas.
All of it was extremely impolite and unnecessary, especially for a preseason match. Both teams’ league campaigns may be impacted by the fallout, as neither side showed off their wealth.
Maybe Luhukay dropped Forestieri ahead of schedule anticipating a ban. If he has, it has been successful because they haven’t lost since he left the side.
