GOOD NEWS: Clemson Tigers former CE is back ….

Profile of Clemson CB Nate Wiggins for the 2024 NFL Draft
This season, Nate Wiggins is probably the only Tiger selected in the first round. This is his draft profile, along with projections for Thursday’s position.

When committed to Clemson in the 2021 cycle, there wasn’t much doubt that he’d eventually end up where he is now. Wiggins was the No. 6 cornerback in his class, and a top-80 player overall.

After three years with and the Tigers, Wiggins is making the professional turn. He had 24 pass breakups, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and a blocked field goal in 34 games played at Clemson. Two of his three interceptions were returned for a touchdown.

At the combine, Wiggins generated a lot of buzz for himself by finishing the 40-yard dash in 4.28 seconds. In the eyes of NFL scouts prior to the draft, his toughness is more important than his athleticism and speed. Wiggins weighed 173 pounds and stood 6 feet 1 inch tall.

Despite his slight frame, Wiggins is willing to battle for the ball through the catch and has exceptional closing speed. Even after acquiring Tre’Davious White, who is recovering from an Achilles injury, and Darious Williams, the Rams might not be able to overlook the corner’s value at the bottom of the first round. Les Snead, the general manager, could certainly trade back and extend the team’s winning run to seven years without having to give up a first-round pick.
