Breaking: Raiders open fire Both Dave Ziegler and Josh McDaniels
Schefter reports McZiegs is out.

The Raiders of Las Vegas (+3) Bet $10 on LV To Win Against LAC:

$24.20 Less than three:
$20 To Lose: According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, $15.88 has fired general manager Dave Ziegler and head coach Josh McDaniels.

Owner Mark Davis released a statement via Schefter that stated, “After much thought about what the Raiders need to move forward, I have decided to part ways with Josh and Dave.” “I want to express my gratitude for their efforts and send my best wishes to them and their families.”

According to Schefter, McDaniels has a six-year contract, and the Raiders and owner Mark Davis are responsible for the remaining balance owing to the coach for the following four years. Champ Kelly has been elevated to interim general manager, per ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez, while Antonio Pierce will take over as the team’s temporary head coach, according to Schefter as well. In addition, McDaniels and Ziegler are the first head coach and general manager to be sacked in the NFL this year.

This move comes after the Raiders lost to the Detroit Lions (-3.5)

26-14 on Monday Night Football and the offense only managed to score seven points with McDaniels calling the plays. Despite having wide receiver Davante Adams, running back Josh Jacobs and McDaniels’ hand-picked quarterback, Las Vegas’ offense notably hasn’t scored 20 points this season.

McDaniels will finish with a 9-16 record as the Silver and Black’s head coach and holds a career record of 20-33.

Meanwhile, Ziegler leaves with plenty of knocks on his résumé as well.

Free-agent signings like Chandler Jones and Jimmy Garoppolo have turned out to be giant flops. He handed out contract extensions to Derek Carr, Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow only to move on from them or want out of the deal a year later. And then there’s the mishandling of Jacobs’ contract situation, and Jacobs is rumored or presumed as one of Davis’ favorites.
