South Carolina women’s basketball: Gamecocks in the WNBA – Week 9
A’ja Wilson continues to set records, but it was the non-record-setting Gamecocks who made waves last week in the WNBA.
Atlanta Dream (7-13)
Laeticia Amihere (11 games, 4.7 minutes, 1.2 pts, 1.9 rebs)
Against Connecticut, Amihere played a season-high 15 minutes and had a season-high six points and a career-high eight rebounds. It came in a lopsided loss, but it was still good to see Amihere hold her own in the WNBA
Last week:
Vs Chicago (85-77 loss): DNP-CD
At Dallas (85-82 loss): 3 minutes, no stats
At Connecticut (80-67 loss): 15 minutes, 6 points, 8 rebounds, block, steal
Allisha Gray (20 games (20 starts), 32.4 mpg, 16.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.5 apg, 1.0 spg)
Atlanta has been decimated by injuries and Gray is forced to do a little bit of everything as a result. The result is some big stat lines but some ugly losses.
