SAD NEWS: Ducati MotoGP suspends Marc Márquez for violating team rules….

It was a strange weekend for Marc Márquez, with quite a few chain mistakes’ – Dani Pedrosa

Marc Márquez wasn’t at his best level at the MotoGP Dutch GP. The eight-time world champion suffered two crashes in Assen, one of which meant he retired from the Sprint race, and in the main race he finished only tenth.

Indeed, the Spaniard crossed the finish line in fourth place, not far from the podium, but was penalized 16 seconds for exceeding the minimum limits of front tire pressure – something exacerbated, in his view, by an incident with Enea Bastianini (Ducati) while battling the Italian.

Dani Pedrosa analyzed Márquez’s performance in his commentary for DAZN. The Red Bull KTM test rider considered it an atypical performance, marked by an unusual series of mistakes:

Undoubtedly, it was a somewhat strange weekend, in the sense that there were quite a few chain mistakes. On Saturday, when we interviewed him, he said he wouldn’t attack at 100% on Sunday, which was confirmed by what we saw in the race, where he tried to reach that podium because he was close, but in the end, he just missed it.

The «Little Samurai» completed his analysis of Márquez, emphasizing that the German GP, which follows and a track Márquez knows so well, is ahead: ‘But undoubtedly we saw a somewhat timid Marc, and furthermore committing some improper mistakes. Well, maybe the weekend wasn’t ideal for him, but now Sachsenring is approaching, a track he knows every inch of, where he can gain time and lose it to achieve victories’.
