Some NFL teams predicted to ‘shy away from’ Colorado football QB Shedeur Sanders in 2025
CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso believes some NFL teams that land in the 2025 draft will avoid Colorado football QB Shedeur Sanders, but left the door ajar for one team with a high-end first-rounder falling for Deion Sanders’ son’s multi-faceted public image and handing the keys to the offense.
“Some teams will shy away from the son of ‘Prime Time,'” Trapasso prefaced before saying, “But it wouldn’t be outlandish for a franchise to embrace all of it. If we see more heat on some of his longer throws, and he continues to play poised from the pocket while intermittently moving the chains with his legs, yes, Sanders will squarely be on the No. 1 pick radar.”
Coach Prime seemingly turned several NFL franchises away when he declared that his sons and Travis Hunter would pull an “Eli” and demand a trade if drafted by a team not of his choosing ala Manning in 2004.
“All this is subjective because I know where I kind of want them to go,” Sanders said on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast. “And let’s not forget Shilo (Sanders). But I know where I want them to go. There’s certain cities where it ain’t going to happen. …It’s going to be an Eli [Manning].”
