Exclusive: Jett Lawrence signed new contract with Honda…

Jett Lawrence wins both races at Round 4 of Motocross despite injury

At round four of the 2024 Pro Motocross season at High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania, Jett Lawrence won both races despite being injured and receiving immense amounts of pressure on the racetrack from brother Hunter Lawrence and rival and former teammate Chase Sexton.

In the first race, Hunter Lawrence claimed the hole shot, with Jett in the No. 2 position. Sexton trailed in fourth, as commentators noted that Sexton has been unable to claim a hole shot this entire season so far.

As the race progressed, the Lawrence brothers stayed in first and second as they experimented with the lines on the track, with a small mistake from Hunter allowing Jett to pass and take the lead.

Around the 13-minute mark, Hunter remained a relaxed distance behind Jett while the next closest racer, Sexton, followed behind the brothers by more than 15 seconds.

The brothers seemed to be working to push each other, with both riders staying close to each other while waiting for the moment to clinch the win.

In the last lap before the final lap, Hunter clocked a time that was half a second faster than Jett, allowing him to be right on his brother’s rear tire heading into the final lap.

At the start of the last lap, Hunter charged after Jett as both brothers “sent it” to the finish line. While Hunter attempted to overtake Jett, it wasn’t enough, allowing Jett to win the first race at High Point.

“That’s dominance, people,” commentators said about the brothers. “This is something that most sports rarely see.”
