Recruiting Roundup: Husky Coaches Extend Some New 2025 Offers & Other Notes

Happy Sunday and Fathers day to all fathers out there. Over the weekend the Husky staff hosted their yearly camps (top dawgs, specialist camps…etc.) and a few new offers went out. Lots of local prospects attended as well as some underclassmen from California. Here is a look at some of the more notable offers that went out:

3 star defensive lineman Dominic Macon from Happy Valley HS, OR was offered after showing the staff that he was the top defensive lineman at camp. Listed at 6’3” and around 305 pounds, Macon is rated as the 107th best defensive lineman in the country. With a wrestling background, Macon has a good toolbelt already and looks like he could be a good player after a year or 2 in a college system. The Husky staff

joined Boise State, WSU, Oregon State, and San Diego State in offering Macon. It looks like the Husky staff will try and take at least 2 defensive lineman in the 2025 class and Macon looks like he could be a hidden nugget that the Husky coaches found.

The Husky staff also extended a new offer in the 2025 class to a local edge prospect. Victor Sanchez-Hernandez from Kamiak HS, WA. a 3 star edge, was offered after showing the Husky staff what he could at their camp. Listed at 6’5” and around 230 pounds, Sanchez-Hernandez already holds offers from Oregon State, Boise

State, BYU, Utah, and WSU. 247sports has him rated as the 111th best edge in the country. It is very nice to see the Husky staff extend more in-state offers in the 2025 class (by my count that is 6 in-state players who have been offered/re-offered by Jedd Fisch and his staff). Sanchez-Hernandez is also an accomplished Taekwondo fighter (he is rated on as one of the top fighters in the country).

I wouldn’t be shocked if Macon and or Sanchez/Hernandez end up committing to UW at some point in the near future (both players look like they could be under-recruited flown below the recruiting radar).

Next weekend is also a massive recruiting weekend that will see upwards of 15 recruits on campus. Some of the more notable names who will be on campus are (I will have more on this next weekend):

4 Star linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale from Bethel HS, WA (A former husky commit who would be a massive pick-up for the staff if they could reel him in).

4 star linebacker Jonathan Epperson from Auburn Riverside HS, WA (one of the top players in-state in the 2025 class and is a heat seeking missile on the field).

3 star offensive lineman Darius Afalava from Skyridge HS, UT (a top offensive line target for the Husky staff with a massive 6’5” and 320 pound frame).
