MLS coach turns down Nashville SC offer; I won’t be coaching for Nashville SC.
Nashville Soccer Club Extends Contract of 2022 MLS MVP Hany Mukhtar
March 7, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee Hany Mukhtar, a designated player for the Nashville Soccer Club, has extended his contract through 2026, with an option to extend until 2027. Prior to the team’s warm-ups for their Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16 match against Inter Miami CF, Mukhtar addressed the supporters in a special live announcement, joined by General Manager Mike Jacobs, to formally announce his extension.

“Hany has played such a special role for our club, as well as our city, and we are very proud to see him commit to being a part of the present and future here in Nashville,” said Nashville SC General Manager Mike Jacobs.

Mukhtar, who was signed as the team’s first Designated Player in 2019, is the club’s all-time leader in goals, assists, and points, and in 2022 was named the MLS Most Valuable Player after leading the league in goals with 23.
