Michigan football has to replace Mike Hart as running backs coach and here are four potential options for the Wolverines.
Earlier this week, it became official that Mike Hart wouldn’t return to Michigan football as the running backs coach for the 2024 season.
There’s no minimizing the hit. Mike Hart is a great running backs coach. He was also the run-game coordinator and played a vital role in the running operation for Michigan football over the past three seasons, which featured three straight Big Ten titles, three wins over Ohio State, and a national title.
Hart was on personal leave but regardless of the reason, it’s a blow for the Wolverines. While Mike Hart might not have been dynamic on the recruiting trail in the eyes of some, he just signed a top-100 running back in the 2024 class, which was his best haul yet.
Hart was also tremendous in his on-field coaching role. But according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider, this didn’t catch Sherrone Moore off guard.
