Welcome to the Real Recognize Real Report. That title isn’t grammatically correct, but it’s not supposed to be. It’s a colloquialism that is commonly used within my family and friend circle, highlighting how a person possessing a particular trait can readily identify others possessing that same trait. A person who is genuine and authentic can recognize other people that are genuine and authentic. The “3R Report” will follow that theme – it’ll always include intel from real, genuine sources whose credibility has been verified. Installments will drop regularly. They won’t always be long, and they won’t always include huge news, but they’ll always be real.
Today’s 3R report focuses on the latest developments in Sherrone Moore’s efforts to complete his recruiting and personnel staffs.
As was previously projected on our Victors Club message board, reassignment of roles will account for most of the moves. Sources tell The Michigan Insider that the biggest of them are elevation of recruiting staffer Sam Popper to the of recruiting, and Albert Karschnia’s promotion to the Director of Player Personnel.
This is part of the NFL model being implemented by Moore with help from new general manager Sean Magee. Whereas NFL organizations have college and pro scouting departments, Michigan will have a staff contingent dedicated to high school recruiting, and another dedicated to the transfer portal.
Magee will lead the way on the portal side of things as part of his roster management duties. He will constantly assess roster needs while also scouting potential targets in the portal.
