Breaking News:A very sad evening for the Wolverines as legend passed on
Pate: “It’s very obvious that Washington’s record will dip this year. Washington lost their head coach, their offensive coordinator, their defensive coordinator and 20 of 22 starters from last year’s team. They lost their entire offense, including the entire offensive line that won the Joe Moore Award. They enter the Big Ten. They play Michigan, at Iowa, USC, at Penn State, at Oregon and UCLA. There’s nothing they can do about that. A lot of that’s out of their control.
They were really aggressive in trying to keep Kalen DeBoer. They offered him north of $9 million a year. They offered to more than double his salary. They’re entirely reliant on the portal. They added 26 players. Do you want a trivia question that is going to stump all of your buddies, including the most diehard college football fans? Ask them who Louisville’s starting quarterback is this upcoming year. It is Tyler Shough, by way of Texas Tech and Oregon. Did I miss any other stops? It’s not impossible, but it is going to be tough to reappear in that ACC Championship Game.
Missouri just went 10-2. Eli Drinkwitz, at Missouri, has gone 5-5, 6-7, 6-7 and 11-2 with one bowl win. Playing the percentages, it stands to reason that Missouri will probably fall back. They lost some elite defensive staffers and not just defensive coordinator Blake Baker. Kevin Peoples went along with him to LSU, and Peoples is a really, really underrated coach. They’re last on this list in my mind for
