Breaking News:Wolverines star J.J.McCarthy just fired his agent

If you’re a fan of college football, then you know that one of the worst-kept secrets is that ESPN’s Paul Finebaum is one of Jim Harbaugh’s biggest and harshest critics. Yet, after leading Michigan to its first national championship since 1997, even Finebaum decided it was time to give Harbaugh his flowers.

On Monday at NRG Stadium in Houston, No. 1 ranked Michigan capped off their undefeated season (15-0) by taking down No. 2 Washington 34-13 to win the CFP National Championship. In front of 72,000-plus fans in attendance, the Wolverines dominated the Huskies at the line of scrimmage and never trailed at any point in the game.

On Tuesday morning, Finebaum appeared on ESPN’s Get Up to discuss Michigan’s victory with Mike Greenberg (Greeny) and Booger McFarland, even sharing that he was shockingly pulling for Harbaugh and the Wolverines to emerge victorious.

“I say ‘Congratulations’,” Finebaum said. “Greeny, I was cheering for him last night, and I can’t explain it. I’m sure it’s some weird thing back when I was a baby or something, but I don’t know if I’ve ever been more wrong about anything in my entire life. I didn’t think the guy would ever beat Ohio State. I said on your show a couple of years ago, if I live to be 150 (years old) and I’m getting close, but the point being, this is truly remarkable.
