Good News:Florida State offers Alabama running back transfer Roydell Williams

The Seminoles have extended an offer to a running back transfer from the Crimson Tide

Florida State has extended a scholarship offer to Alabama running back transfer Roydell Williams. He shared the news of the scholarship offer from the Seminoles on his Twitter account today.

The offer from the ‘Noles is the first he shared via his social media accounts since entering the portal earlier today. He tagged head coach Mike Norvell and running backs coach David Johnson in the tweet.

Williams entered the NCAA Transfer Portal after four seasons with the Crimson Tide. He’s played in 45 games in his career thus far while recording 234 rushing attempts for 1,165 yards and 11 touchdowns.

In 2023, the senior running back rushed 111 times for 560 yards and 5 scores. He also caught 11 passes for 58 yards and another touchdown.

During Alabama’s Rose Bowl loss, Williams was dealing with an ankle injury, according to head coach Nick Saban, and only rushed for negative-one yard on one carry. Williams was then observed in a walking boot after Alabama’s SEC Championship win over Georgia. He finished that contest with 64 rushing yards and a touchdown
