Jackson also won Offensive Player of the Week earlier in the season. He won the award in Week 7 after throwing for 357 yards and three touchdowns while adding 36 yards and a score on the ground in a 38-6 win over the Detroit Lions. The Baltimore Ravens destroyed the Miami Dolphins 56-19 last Sunday. Quarterback Lamar Jackson continued to cement his MVP case, going 18 of 21 for 321 yards and five passing touchdowns. He also ran six times for 35 yards. Jackson entered the weekend as the slight favorite to win the MVP award but will now enter Week 18 as the heavy favorite.
Jackson could sit the season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers with the top seed locked up. If the franchise signal-caller sits, he will finish the season with 3,678 yards passing for 24 and seven touchdowns. He also added 821 yards and five scores on the ground.
