Michigan has signed 27 players during the early signing period on Wednesday including Princeton (NJ) Hun School 2024 four-star defensive lineman Owen Wafle.

Michigan has signed 27 players during the early signing period on Wednesday, but they still have their sights set on one of the nation’s best in Top100 wide receiver Gatlin Bair. 

The Wolverines have been well-documented to be a major contender in this recruitment for many months even after he made his commitment to Boise State over the summer. 

The 2024 recruiting class is loaded with elite talent at receiver with No. 1 overall prospect Jeremiah Smith headlining the group. The Ohio State signee joins a long list of five-star wideouts to make the move to Columbus, Ohio, where top recruiter Brian Hartline continues to stock up the Buckeyes’ receiving corps. There was some Signing Day drama on Wednesday involving Smith, but he ultimately stayed committed to Ohio State, which again landed the top receiver in the class.

Smith is just one of nine five-star wide receivers in the 2024 class. Ohio State signed two of those five-star receivers, while Auburn also added two to its signing class with both coming from the Tigers’ backyard in Alabama. Five of the top 10 highest-rated wideouts in the class project to play in the SEC next season.

Four-star receiver Gatlin Bair, the No. 1 ranked recruit in Idaho, remains uncommitted and did not sign on Wednesday, but Michigan and Oregon remain in pursuit.
