Breaking News:Ipswich Town just recieved a sad and terrible news

Ipswich Town are interested in splashing the cash on Fulham forward Jay Stansfield as they push for promotion to the Premier League.

The Tractor Boys continue to make incredible strides under Kieran McKenna.

After winning promotion from League One last season with more than 100 goals scored, Ipswich have taken that momentum into the Championship.

Ipswich sit second in the Championship table, three points behind leaders Leicester City and 10 points clear of third-place Leeds United.

Two defeats in 22 so far this season means Ipswich have a real chance of promotion – and they are ready to make a signing to try and get over the line.

The East Anglian Daily Times now report that Ipswich have enquired about a deal for Fulham forward Jay Stansfield.

It’s suggested that Ipswich are willing to spend on a big signing in January if the right player is available.

Stansfield could be the man for Ipswich with McKenna seemingly wanting more attacking support.

George Hirst arrived over the summer with Freddie Ladapo, Dane Scarlett and Kayden Jackson also in the Ipswich squad
