Breaking news:After his phenomenal performance at Ipswich Chris Sutton predicts that Kieran McKenna will be offered a top job in the Premier League
Chris Sutton, a legendary Norwich City player, has praised Kieran McKenna’s “phenomenal” work at Ipswich as he prepares for this weekend’s East Anglia derby against his former team, but he insists that the Canaries will be out to “derail” them.
Ipswich, who were just promoted from League One at the conclusion of the previous season, have had a fantastic start to the Championship season and are currently second in the table behind leaders Leicester.
Sutton, who played 127 times for the club, had nothing but positive things to say about their rivals as they attempt to return to the Premier League. In contrast, Norwich have struggled with inconsistent play as they attempt to do so. They are currently in 11th place, three points out of the play-offs.
In an interview with Mail Sport as part of Colman’s “Bring The Heat” campaign, which launched this week to encourage the Canaries ahead of the “Old Farm” Derby this weekend and during the busy holiday season, Sutton predicted that the top teams would soon “bee-line” for the former manager of Man United U18s.
“That’s a hell of a job Kieran McKenna has done at Ipswich. There’s still a long way to go.” To think they were promoted and are in the position they are in is incredible. They have been pretty amazing this season.
