NFL Draft Vikings and Cardinals trade proposal sends $130 million star to Minnesota…
The Minnesota Vikings have been one of the best stories of the 2024 campaign, as not only has quarterback Sam Darnold helped revive the franchise, the defense has been exceptional and better than expected.
With the Vikings rolling right along at 5-1, general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah should be exploring any and all options that could improve the roster on either side of the ball in order to put his team in the best position possible to make a run.
One NFL analyst, FOX Sports’ Greg Auman, recently proposed a trade that sends the Vikings a reinforcement on defense in the form of six-time Pro Bowl safety, Budda Baker.
While the Vikings are already very strong on defense, adding Baker would make the unit even better. Not only is he more than serviceable in coverage, Baker is also an elite run defender and really shines in the box.
The Cardinals will likely at least consider trading Baker, who is on the final year of his deal, but that will depend upon where Arizona is in terms of playoff positioning when the Nov. 5 deadline hits.
Currently, Arizona is very much in the thick of things in the NFC West, with the team sitting in second place at 3-4. If the Cardinals win one or both of their next two games before the deadline, it stands to reason they’ll hold on to Baker.
