Jerry Jones Admits Worst Part Of Cowboys’ Devastating Week 6 Loss, Vows To Fire Mike McCarthy…

Jerry Jones Admits Worst Part Of Cowboys’ Devastating Week 6 Loss

Jerry Jones did not get the birthday performance he likely wished for Sunday from his beloved Dallas Cowboys.

On Jones’ 82nd birthday, the Detroit Lions slapped the Cowboys around like a piñata in a 47-9 drubbing at AT&T Stadium.

The 38-point defeat was the Cowboys’ most lopsided home loss since Jones bought the team in 1989.

Jones’ misery didn’t end after the clock hit zero. He still had to address a hoard of reporters after the game. When asked about the experience of witnessing a historic beatdown on his birthday, Jones shared what stung the most about it all.

“I think it was the just the feeling of the team having fun at our expense,” said Jones. “Detroit having fun at our expense.”

Jones also referred to the painful Cowboys loss as both “very humbling” and “very concerning.”

The Cowboys haven’t had much of a home field advantage of late. All three of Dallas’ losses this season have come within the supposedly friendly confines of AT&T Stadium. Conversely, the Cowboys remain a perfect 3-0 on the road heading into their bye week.

If you include the Cowboys’ 48-32 Wild Card exit against the Green Bay Packers last season, Dallas’ defense has given up 167 points over its last four home contests. That point total ranks as the third-most allowed by any team in NFL history over a span of four home games.
