COLUMN: Todd Gilliland poised to become face of Front Row, legitimate contender
MOORESVILLE — With pen finally put to paper, Todd Gilliland now is poised to become the face of Front Row Motorsports and a legitimate contender in the NASCAR Cup Series.
The third-year driver, a 24-year-old native of Sherrills Ford, received a multi-year contract extension that had been anticipated for weeks and took on extra importance because FRM mainstay veteran Michael McDowell announced earlier this season that he was departing for Spire Motorsports starting with the 2025 Cup season.
That means Front Row is losing a driver that has been with the organization since 2018, picking up two of its four all-time wins and making the Cup playoffs twice, leaving a hole that Gilliland is best positioned to fill.
