Breaking News:Omg this is not happening The Lakers just got hit with sad and terrifying report

Austin Reaves is one of those inspirational NBA stories as he was able to defy the odds by going undrafted, signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, and then working to become one of the stars of the team and a starter playing alongside superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Although the odds were against him and are still against him, Reaves is now a household name in Los Angeles and a key part of the current Lakers squad that is working to get back into the NBA playoffs.

Reaves has made such an impression during his short time with the Lakers that has drawn the attention of former Lakers star Mychal Thompson, who has nothing but high praise for the 25-year-old and believes he’s a borderline All-Star via SiriusXM NBA Radio.

He’s a borderline All-Star,” Thompson said. “It’s going to be tough on him to make the All-Star team in the West because you have so many good guards in the West who are so young and upcoming just like him, but he’s close to being an All-Star-caliber player, man

In his third season with the Lakers, Reaves is averaging a career-high 15.8 points per game while putting up career-high averages in rebounds (4.1) and assists (5.5), shooting 49.2% from the field and 37.8% from three-point range.

Although his shooting is down slightly from last season, Reaves clearly seems to be improving with every passing season while becoming a fan favorite in Los Angeles and a valuable piece to the puzzle for the Lakers moving forward.
