Breaking just now:Omg Tar heels recieve a very sad and terrifying news

The updated Top247 recruiting rankings for the 2025 class were updated by the 247Sports national scouting team Wednesday, providing a fresh look at the top football prospects in the current cycle. Ten new five-stars and 24 overall newcomers are featured in the latest individual rankings. The extensive changes resulted in some movement in the way-too-early team recruiting rankings for the 2025 class, but there is still a clear No. 1 at the top

Notre Dame maintains its positioning as the early leader in the cycle with 17 commitments. Penn State (11), Clemson (10) and Oklahoma (10) join the Fighting Irish with double-digit pledges after the first week of March. However, Ohio State has an argument for best pound-for-pound commitment list at this point with three five-stars locked in.

Georgia claimed the recruiting crown in the 2024 class and could be in position to make a repeat run at the title with a strong start in 2025.

Sam Pittman and Co. have Arkansas off to a strong start in the 2025 recruiting class with five early commitments. In-state defensive line prospect Carius Curne headlines the haul for the Hogs up to this point. The Top247 recruit from Marion (Ark.) committed to Arkansas in early February.

The on-field results at Miami may not be up to standard for Mario Cristobal just yet, but the Hurricanes have no issues recruiting top talent, securing back-to-back top-10 classes nationally in the previous two cycles. Miami wasted no time beginning to piece together its 2025 haul with four early commitments at the beginning of March. West Palm Beach (Fla.) Central four-star wide receiver Waden Charles is the top-rated pledge up to this point, announcing his commitment to the Hurricanes last September.

Billy Napier needs to see on-field results in 2024 as pressure mounts at Florida, but recruiting has not been a big concern for the Gators. Three Top247 recruits are already committed to Florida for the 2025 class, including Tallahassee (Fla.) James Rickards defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins, who ranks No. 67 overall in the recent update. Warner Robbins (Ga.) Houston County interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph also headlines the early haul as the No. 107 overall recruit in the cycle
