Breaking:Ohio State QB Devin Brown Responds to Transfer Rumors
Following the transfers of Will Howard and Julian Sayin, and the commitment of Air Noland, the Ohio State Buckeyes appear to be heading toward a five-way quarterback competition this spring. And despite their already-established experience with the program, the incumbents in Columbus – Devin Brown and Lincoln Kienholz – have largely already been counted out by some in the fan base and on social media.
So much so, that unfounded rumors have emerged that Brown or Kienholz – or both – could elect to transfer in the face of the impending competition. Brown, however, has taken those rumors personally.
I think people are cowards, I think people have this thought in their own head that I’m gonna leave and I’m a quitter but that’s never been me,” Brown said. “These people live in their mom’s basement saying something about me and they don’t know (expletive). They don’t know anything. They don’t know who I am, they don’t know who I’ve been, and that’s always who I’ve been
Brown is no stranger to competition, battling and narrowly losing out to Kyle McCord last spring and fall for the 2023 starting job. He did eventually get his chance in the Cotton Bowl vs. Missouri, but unfortunately, it was short-lived with Brown going down with an injury early in the game.
