Breaking News:Baltimore Ravens star make a big statement ahead of clash

The Baltimore Ravens are on the brink of their first Super Bowl appearance since 2012 after storming to the top of the NFL during the regular season behind MVP candidate Lamar Jackson and a top-flight defense.

They’ll take on the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs first, though, in the AFC title game at M&T Bank Stadium.

Home-field advantage is always important, but Ravens safety Marcus Williams told Kay Adams on FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams” that fan support will be crucial in Baltimores’ success against Kansas City on Sunday because of how crowd noise affects the opposing team.

“We just need them to come out there again and be loud and be proud and root for us because they are a big factor in games like this,” Williams said. “Especially in championship games like this, they’re going to play a pivotal role in our win for sure.

As the above graphic shows, away teams committed 19 false start penalties and nine delay of game penalties while on offense.

In the Ravens’ wild card match alone, the Houston Texans were called five times for a false start and one time for delay of game in the 34-10 win for Baltimore.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes might be unflappable, but it’s hard to say if his offensive line will even be able to hear him when he’s trying to snap the ball in the AFC title game.
