New Intel Bear Tenney give full details on what transpired

Tennessee had some coaches hit the road for recruiting recently. They’ve been actively searching for tight end depth, and had someone check in on three-star tight end Bear Tenney. Offensive line coach Glen Elarbee went to see the Lehi High School tight end from Lehi, Utah. The talented prospect caught up with Volunteer Country to inform everyone exactly how that went

The 6’5, 230-pound tight end states, “My visit with him was great. It was nice catching up with him. That was my first time meeting him. His pitch to me was that their whole staff loves my film, and they could definitely see my athletic ability fitting in their offense.”

With it being the offseason, this is usually known as the recruiting season. Many important recruiting dates are ahead of us, and when asked if he was asked up on a visit, Tenney stated, “Yeah, he told me to go to their junior day on February 3. Earlier that day, I spoke on the phone with Coach [Josh] Heupel, and he was asking how I was doing. We have a great relationship

I plan on attempting to make it to Tennessee for that. I’m also looking forward to visiting Oregon, Michigan, Texas, Florida, and Tennessee this offseason.” He also speaks about the visit he had recently with the staff, as he goes on to say, “It shows me that they are very interested in me. It means a lot to me, for sure.

Being a tight end, his position coach would be Alec Abeln. “My relationship with Coach Abe is great. He loves my film and said I’d be a great addition to Tennessee’s offense. They need an athletic TE like me that is very versatile.” He also talks about his relationship with Coach Heupel by saying, “Coach Heupel and I get along very well, and he said he would be more than happy to take my commitment if I wanted to go there.

Tennessee does have a tight-end commit, Jack VanDorselaer, from the 2025 class, which Tenney is also in. Tenney was asked about VanDorselaer and how they would work as a duo. “We can be a great duo when we run 12 personnel
