BREAKING: Michigan Wolverines Lose Former 4-Star Wide Receiver To The Transfer Portal

The Michigan Wolverines were able to capture a national championship for the first time in decades. Now that the game is over, they have to deal with the realities of the college football world. Players on College Football Playoff teams had additional time to make a transfer portal decision. Former four-star recruit Darrius Clemons announced that he is entering the transfer portal.

Clemons is a former four-star recruit out of Portland Oregon. He was the number one overall recruit in the state of Oregon for the 2022 cycle. He didn’t see the field much in 2023. Clemons only tallied three catches for 33 yards and no touchdowns. This is likely due to the amount of talent that Michigan has at the position as well as a run-heavy offense. Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards were the centerpieces of this offense and since the team played with a lead so often, the passing game suffered. In the second half, this team could run the ball and bleed the clock. Clemons should be an interesting player for a program looking for offensive help.

For a team that just won the national championship, there are a lot of questions surrounding this team. The biggest one is whether Jim Harbaugh will be back. All reports indicate that NFL teams are interested but until there is an official word, we really won’t know. JJ McCarthy still has a year of eligibility left and could decide to return to the school. Once the season begins, the Big Ten has so many newcomers that the landscape of the conference has completely changed. It will definitely be an interesting offseason for the Wolverines
